Gary Miller, CFA

Gary A. Miller, CFA, is Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Frontier Asset Management, LLC, a firm he founded in 2000. He has been managing portfolios of mutual funds since 1987.

Gary is an industry innovator with expertise in manager due diligence, asset allocation and portfolio design. He developed Frontier’s investment process, Complementary Genius and is one of the original developers of returns-based style analysis to evaluate investment managers and mutual funds.

Gary prepared the continuing education course, “Style Analysis of Investment Managers” for the College for Financial Planning in 1996. His research has been featured in numerous financial journals and he has spoken at many national conferences including most recently the FPA Retreat 2012 in Scottsdale, Arizona and the 2012 Business & Wealth Management Forum presented by Bob Veres & T3.

Gary earned his MS in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology where he was a Presidential Fellow. He earned his BS in Environmental Resources Engineering from Humboldt State University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute.
